General policy for replacement and transfer of keys/licenses

The information provided in this document is for MineSight clients. All pricing is subject to change, current pricing should be confirmed with MineSight.

Replacement Policy

Key is Defective:

Service, subscription, or lease payments must be in current status.

There is no charge to the client to replace a new key that is defective (defective keys must be reported within 30 days of purchase or lease)

Client must return the defective key within 5 days of receiving the replacement key.

Key is damaged:

Service, subscription, or lease payments must be in current status.

Upon receiving notice that a key is damaged, MineSight will send the client a quote for replacement, based on current pricing.

Current replacement price is $250 per key (pricing subject to change). The replacement key will be shipped upon receipt of a purchase order and/or payment.

Client must return the damaged key once a replacement key is received.

Lost or Stolen Keys - Purchases and Subscriptions:

Service or subscription payments must be in current status.

MineSight cannot be responsible for the loss of these keys.

When a client informs MineSight of a lost or stolen key MineSight will send the client a quote for replacement. The replacement key will be shipped upon receipt of purchase order and/or payment.

Pricing percentages are applied to the current list price of the license type(s) being replaced.

Network key replacement charges are based on the same percentage scale, and will include all license configurations under that key at the moment of loss or theft.

  • 1st Lost key per site 10%
  • 2nd Lost key per site 20%
  • 3rd Lost key per site: 40%
  • 4th Lost key per site: 75%
  • 5th Lost key per site: 100%

Lost or Stolen Key – Consultant Specific:

When a consultant loses their Consultant Package key(s), or suffers a theft, a key replacement fee is invoiced, at the then current list price, which is currently $1000 per key (pricing subject to change). The lease activation fee would not be charged, in this case. Lease payments must be in current status.

TRANSFER POLICY

Per Section 1, Item 6 of the MineSight End User License Agreement:

GRANT OF LIMITED LICENSE TO USE MINESIGHT® SOFTWARE
You may transfer MineSight® software and related documentation between related Licensee sites only with prior written consent from MineSight and payment of applicable transfer fees.

Transferring a complete license from one site to another

It is MineSight policy that when any license is to be considered for transfer to another location/mine site, the Client must agree to the following:

  • Maintain a current payment status on annual service or subscription for both the site providing the transfer key and the site accepting ownership of the key
  • The site accepting ownership of the key will accept responsibility for the annual service or subscription renewal payment
  • A $1,000 transfer fee will be applied per license to cover the administrative work generated by this service

Transferring a product from one license to another within the same site

It is MineSight Policy that when any product is to be considered for transfer from one license configuration to another, Client must agree to the following:

  • Maintain a current payment status on annual service or subscription for the site considering the transfer
  • A $1,000 transfer fee will be applied per transaction to cover the administrative work generated by this service

NOTE: If the licenses in question were acquired within six months of the request, the transfer fee will not apply.
